Nikki Loiero has over 15 years of experience in competitive dance. Prior to, she was a competitive gymnast at a national level. Nikki possesses extensive training and teaching abilities in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theatre, adagio, and samba. She has studied under the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers for 3 years and became an A.D.A.P.T Certified Dance Instructor in 2009. She has also studied and graduated under the Professional Adjudicators Alliance in 2011.
Growing up Nikki has received her Advanced Ballet Honors Certificate with the Royal Academy of Dance as well as her Advanced Jazz and Tap Honors Certificates under A.D.A.P.T Certification. Academically she has graduated from Cardinal Carter School of the Arts with a dance diploma and currently studies at the University of Toronto under an Honours Bachelors of Arts Degree.
Professionally, Nikki has choreographed and taught workshops for studios across the GTA, including assistant choreographer for Team Canada alongside choreographers such as Blake McGrath. As a professional dancer Nikki has appeared on television and in shows across Canada such as CBC’s T.V show “Over The Rainbow” (2013), Rogers Wireless Commercial (2009) , the “Flare For Fashion” fashion show, (2010) “Miss Italia” pageant show (2012) . Nikki has had the opportunity to assist alongside renowned choreographers such as Tyce Diorio and Sean Cheesman. As an instructor Nikki’s choreography has been recognized and awarded across Canada and the United States each year since 2008.
Above all Nikki's passion is to share her knowledge and love for dance with her students. Being a dance instructor is the most rewarding aspect of Nikki’s career. Nurturing and mentoring her students has created remarkable results. Teaching acrobatics has been the main focus in Nikki’s 10 years of teaching. Her background as a gymnast and years of experience in acrobatics has given her the ability to strengthen students and improve their techniques in all other areas of their dance training. Nikki’s ultimate goal is to pass on her technical skills, artistic talents and passion of her craft to students of all ages. The combination of these things; Nikki believes, is the recipe to success!
Marilynn Garcea currently resides in Vaughan, Ontario. Growing up, Marilynn trained and competed in gymnastics, acrobatics, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hiphop, and musical theater. She is a certified dance instructor and completed the three year Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT) teaching certification program in 2009. Academically, Marilynn graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Toronto’s Schulich School of Business in 2011. Professionally, Marilynn has danced in Andrea Viola’s presentation of “My Thoughts” at the 2013 ACE Awards, Conteur Dance Company’s premiere of “In Flux” (Eryn Waltman) at the 2012 ACE Awards, Bridge to Artist’s 2012 production of “Senses” (Vlad, Linda Garneau, Julia Cratchley), Toronto Choreographers Ball , Toronto Bazaar, Conteur Dance Company’s 2011 production of “State of Mind” (Eryn Waltman), Bridge to Artist’s 2011 production of “Prima Volta” (Vlad), and Helix Dance Project’s 2009 production of Verb.atim (Linda Garneau).
Commercially, Marilynn’s credits include assisting renowned choreographers Mia Michaels and Tyce Diorio on So You Think You can Dance Canada, Slice TV’s Party Mamas, Breakfast Television, “The Spell” music video for recording artist Amanda Morra, Hats on for Awareness Gala, Three to Be Gala with Conteur Dance Company, Toronto’s Gay for Comedy Gala with Helix Dance Project, Rogers Wireless, the “Flare for Fashion” fashion show, broadcasted on ET Canada and Global TV, and the “Bloch” fashion show.
As an instructor, Marilynn loves having the opportunity to share her passion for dance and knowledge of the craft with her students. The most rewarding aspect of teaching for her is seeing the growth in her students from year to year. She has been teaching and choreographing for students of all ages and levels for eight years now, and her choreography has won numerous awards across Canada and the United States. Marilynn has always been passionate about acrobatics and believes that acro training is a huge asset for anyone wanting to work in the performance industry commercially!
